Mohammed bin Rashid Launches "Invest In Dubai" Platform

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched the ‘Invest in Dubai’ digital platform to consolidate Dubai’s status as a leading global business and investment destination. The ‘Invest in Dubai’ platform offers a unique business set-up experience backed by Dubai’s advanced smart solutions. The largest one-stop-shop platform of its kind, ‘Invest in Dubai’ enables investors to smoothly obtain trade licenses and launch their business easily in a matter of minutes.

According to a statement by the HH Media Office today, Tuesday, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, while chairing a meeting of the Dubai Executive Council, stressed the importance of strengthening the investment environment, attracting more capital, recruiting people of talents, creative ideas and great ambitions. HH gave directions to facilitate all procedures related to the investment and business sector In general, to expand efforts to make Dubai the best and easiest city in the world to do business, and to harness all capabilities and energies to achieve this goal.

An investor's one-stop-shop solution , the ‘Invest in Dubai’ platform was developed by Smart Dubai and the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED), under the supervision of the General Secretariat of The Executive Council of Dubai. A team of more than 70 members was formed for this purpose, representing Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Ministry of Economy, General Department of Dubai Civil Defense, General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Dubai Police, State Security Department, SIRA, Dubai Free Zones Council, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Courts, Dubai Customs, Department of Land and Property, Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Health Authority, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Maritime City Authority, Communications Regulatory Authority, Dubai Sports Council, Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Community Development Authority, in direct collaboration with the private sector –strategic supporter of economic development efforts in the Emirate - represented by the Emirates NBD Bank.

The team worked together for a period of four months, putting in more than 80,000 working hours, to develop a comprehensive and integrated platform that lives up to Dubai’s leading status as an attractive investment destination. The Dubai Department of Economic Development will be administering the platform.

A remarkable one-stop-shop platform for doing business, ‘Invest in Dubai’ offers users various services, including commercial licensing, in which government permits and approvals can be obtained from a centralized platform, eliminating the need to physically visit any service centre. Also offered on the platform are packages and value-added services that support businesses in launching commercial ventures.
