The visit aimed to explore the United Arab Emirates’ experience in regulating the private security sector, and to gain insight into the pivotal role played by SIRA in Dubai in supporting national security efforts, combating organized crime, and strengthening the strategic partnership between the private security industry and law enforcement agencies — all in pursuit of a safer world.
H.E. Al Saleis extended a warm welcome to Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi and accompanied him on an in-depth tour of SIRA’s facilities. The visit began at the SIRA Innovation, which presents the agency’s latest projects, forward-thinking services, and cutting-edge security technologies.
The delegation also visited the SIRA Security Museum, which features a curated collection of rare surveillance systems and security equipment that chronicle significant technological milestones in the field of security.
Following this, the delegation visited the Testing Labaratory, which plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in the private security sector in Dubai. Operated by highly qualified Emirati professionals, this lab is the first of its kind in the region. Its role extends beyond testing and licensing security systems—it also pioneers the invention and development of entirely new testing systems for a wide range of security devices.
On this occasion, H.E. Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis expressed his appreciation for the distinguished visit, emphasizing the importance of showcasing the UAE’s pioneering security model and the vital role SIRA plays in strengthening the frameworks of preventive and proactive security through the adoption of best practices and forward-looking technologies.
The visit concluded with discussions on potential future collaboration. H.E. Al Saleis reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to enhancing cooperation and coordination with government entities at both the local and international levels, and its openness to all initiatives aimed at sharing knowledge and expertise in the field of security.
