The Third Annual Security Directors Forum

Today, the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) organized the Third Security Directors Forum at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai, with the attendance of Security Advisor Engineer Aref Al-Junaidi, department officials from the agency, and officials from the Dubai Police General Command, Aman Service, Dubai Cyber Security Center, the UAE Human Resources Development Council, and invited security directors from all vital sectors in the emirate

The forum, which is scheduled to be held annually, included awareness discussion sessions for security directors about the procedures and practices they need to familiarize themselves with and implement before preparing for New Year’s Eve celebrations. Dubai has always stood out for organizing these celebrations across the emirate with unparalleled levels of technological brilliance while maintaining the highest standards of security and safety.

The forum began with an introductory lecture from the UAE Human Resources Development Council titled "Localization Procedures in the Private Sector," aimed at enhancing localization targets within the security directors’ sector. This was done by introducing the various initiatives and programs launched by the council as part of the government’s efforts to increase the participation of qualified national workforce in this sector.

This was followed by a lecture from the Dubai Cyber Security Center titled "Personal Security," and then a lecture from the Aman Service on "Security Culture" and the procedures that all community members contribute to in maintaining security. Additionally, the Dubai Police General Command presented a lecture titled "Precautionary Measures for Hotel Establishments." The awareness sessions concluded with a lecture from the Security Industry Regulatory Agency on "New Year’s Eve Procedures" to ensure the safety and security of the public and property during these prominent and vital events, which require the cooperation of security efforts between the public and private sectors.

The Security Industry Regulatory Agency also ensured that this annual forum highlighted the effective role of security service providers in the private sector, particularly security directors in vital sectors. This was achieved through an annual award in the category of "Outstanding Security Service for 20 or more years in the Hotel Security Management Sector.

Security Advisor Engineer Aref Al-Junaidi presented certificates and appreciation plaques to the honored security directors in this category, expressing his gratitude for their efforts, the importance of supporting them with training and awareness, and acknowledging their excellence and security awareness. This forum is considered a continuation of the series of organizational meetings held by the Security Industry Regulatory Agency with the security directors of the companies and institutions under its regulation, aiming at the continuous development of the competencies and experiences of security operations management in various sectors.
