SIRA Showcases the "Muraqib" Program During Its Participation in the World Police Summit

The Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) is participating in the World Police Summit Exhibition and Conference as part of its strategic plan to maintain a strong presence at key international security forums. In its second participation at the summit, SIRA is showcasing its latest projects that directly contribute to enhancing collaboration between security entities, reflecting its steadfast commitment to supporting Dubai’s vision of a safer and more sustainable society.

Among the key highlights at the agency’s pavilion is the “Muraqib” program, in addition to the impactful participation of the Professional Security and Safety Association (PSSA).

SIRA launched the “Muraqib” program, one of the latest technological initiatives developed by the agency’s Specialized Projects Department. The program aims to secure and monitor the movement of hazardous material shipments within the Emirate of Dubai through an integrated system that includes an advanced tracking device, a high-resolution surveillance camera, a smart electronic lock, and a central operations room responsible for full supervision and control of the shipments’ movement.

This system represents a significant advancement from the previous method, which relied on escorting hazardous material transport trucks with an additional security vehicle. "Muraqib" marks a major step forward in reducing dependence on human resources, improving control, and increasing operational efficiency, ultimately enhancing safety levels while achieving tangible operational savings.

In its first phase, the program will be applied to the transportation of fireworks within the emirate, with plans to expand its scope in the future to cover other types of sensitive cargo.

Advanced Security Technology with an Integrated Vision

The launch of this system during the World Police Summit highlights SIRA’s commitment to leveraging the latest technologies to serve public safety and enhance the integration of roles between security and police sectors. It also reflects the broader strategy of adopting smart solutions and modern technological systems in line with Dubai’s aspirations to be a global hub of excellence in safety and security management.

Professional Security and Safety Association (PSSA)

In a related context, SIRA’s pavilion witnessed a strong presence by the Professional Security and Safety Association, participating under the “SIRA” platform. The association is a specialized professional network that aims to enhance communication and knowledge exchange among security professionals across various categories.

The association offers its members a range of exclusive services and benefits, including advanced training programs, representation at local and international forums, and opportunities for professional development, enabling members to stay up to date with the latest innovations and global systems in the security field.

Membership is open to all licensed professionals working in the security sector in the UAE, as well as international professionals and global companies, provided they hold valid security licenses that qualify them to join and benefit from the association’s services.

Ongoing Support from SIRA

As the entity responsible for the development and regulation of the private security sector in Dubai, SIRA affirms its full support for such innovative initiatives that reflect a strategic vision aimed at advancing the security sector, empowering its workforce through continuous encouragement of innovation, exchange of expertise, and enhancement of professional standards.
