The Memorandum of Understanding between the Security Industry Regulatory Authority and the Security Institute (UK) aims to enhance collaboration and knowledge exchange in the security field. The agreement is designed to provide global best practices to develop the security sector and raise its standards in line with the highest international benchmarks.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis, CEO of the Security Industry Regulatory Authority, and Professor Simon Hepburn, CEO of the Security Institute, in the presence of several officials and experts from both sides.

Objectives of the Agreement

The Memorandum of Understanding focuses on achieving a set of strategic goals, including:

  1. Training Security Personnel: Developing and refining the expertise of security workers through specialized training programs covering both technical and practical aspects at local and international levels.
  2. Raising Security Profession Standards: Adopting advanced legislation and promoting the application of best practices to create a security environment that is efficient and professional.

In his statement, His Excellency Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis said: "This memorandum is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance international cooperation and elevate the security sector in the UAE.
