Building on the success of its summer camp last year, the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) has announced the launch of a new program titled “SIRA Juniors” under the slogan “Fun that Builds Future”, as part of its efforts to invest in the legacy of the Year of Community and to instill concepts of security and awareness among younger generations.
The program aims to be a sustainable initiative that goes beyond seasonal camps, encompassing a series of diverse initiatives targeting children under the age of 17, with the goal of building a conscious, responsible generation equipped with modern skills. These initiatives include:
A security awareness curriculum toolkit dedicated to schools, providing students with essential concepts of safety and security.
Community-based recreational awareness activities in shopping malls and public spaces, designed to embed security culture in an engaging and fun way.
Expanded seasonal camps this year to include children of employees from both government and private entities in Dubai.
The “SIRA Juniors” program offers an integrated experience combining learning, entertainment, and interaction in a stimulating environment rooted in challenge and positive competition. This contributes to shaping children’s personalities while equipping them with life, artistic, and technological skills. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn the SIRA Junior identity, which helps them grow to become:
Children will also receive evaluation points in two categories – performance and behavior – throughout the program’s activities. At the end of their journey, they will be awarded the “SIRA Juniors License”, symbolizing their successful completion of the program.
To sustain excellence and creativity, a select group of outstanding participants will be chosen to join SIRA’s Research and Innovation Club, hosted by the SIRA Lab. This platform nurtures creative ideas and gives children a real opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative projects that serve various sectors.
Through this pioneering initiative, SIRA reaffirms its ongoing commitment to developing a new generation of leaders who will contribute to the nation’s aspirations for a safer, more sustainable future, while enhancing the legacy of the Year of Community with positivity and creativity.
His Excellency Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis, CEO of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency, said:
“We are proud today to launch this unique program that embodies SIRA’s commitment to nurturing a conscious and capable generation, ready to innovate and contribute to building a safe and sustainable society. This program comes as a continuation of our vision of investing in people, particularly the youth, as they are the cornerstone of the nation’s future and the guarantee of its continued progress.”
“We were keen to design a comprehensive educational experience that combines security awareness, recreational activities, and practical learning in an environment that fosters responsibility and national belonging among children. We are confident that participants will emerge from this experience better prepared to serve their community, more aware of security values, and set to be role models in creativity, commitment, and true leadership in the future.”
