Enhancing International Security Cooperation: "SIRA" Welcomes Delegation from Germany’s Federal Office of Criminal Investigation Customs Division

As part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation between security agencies, His Excellency Khalifa Al Saleis, CEO of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), welcomed His Excellency Dr. Tino Eggelmann, Director of the German Federal Office of Criminal Investigation – Customs Division. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Sultan Al Qemzi, Director of the Restricted Goods Department. The purpose of the visit was to exchange expertise and review best practices in the security sector.

As part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation between security agencies, His Excellency Khalifa Al Saleis, CEO of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), welcomed His Excellency Dr. Tino Eggelmann, Director of the German Federal Office of Criminal Investigation – Customs Division. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Sultan Al Qemzi, Director of the Restricted Goods Department. The purpose of the visit was to exchange expertise and review best practices in the security sector.

During the visit, Dr. Eggelmann was briefed on the various functions of the agency and its role in managing protection and prevention systems. The visit included an introductory meeting and a field tour of the agency’s facilities.

The tour included a visit to the Security Systems Monitoring Room, where SIRA experts work on developing the latest security software to meet Dubai’s safety and security requirements. His Excellency was introduced to the operational mechanisms of these systems and explored potential avenues for collaboration between the two parties.

The tour continued with a visit to the Technical Laboratory, operated by top young Emirati talent, which is responsible for testing and certifying security devices and systems. The lab also plays a vital role in developing and innovating the latest testing, evaluation, and certification systems.

The visit concluded at the Security Design Approval Office, where His Excellency was introduced to the procedures for approving security designs for commercial facilities and critical sectors in the Emirate of Dubai.
